That’s how I felt about The Martian. The book was a fun story, told just adequately. The movie is AWESOME.

The whole time I was reading this book, I kept thinking, “this would make a great movie.” I had to force myself to finish it, because, like Gone Girl, the characters were all basically unlikeable. Glad to know others reached the same conclusion.
