Editors’ Buzz: Carrie Feron on Winter '11 Titles
In the second installment of the HarperCollins Editors’ Buzz, Carrie Feron, Vice President and Executive Editor of Morrow talks with Bobby Brinson, Senior Marketing Manager about a new and delicious mystery, TO HAVE AND TO KILL by Mary Jane Clark, the highly anticipated CALL ME IRRESISTIBLE by Susan Elizabeth Phillips and Laura Lippman's latest, THE GIRL IN THE GREEN RAINCOAT.
Carrie has spent her entire career editing women's voices. Among the writers she has edited for Morrow are New York Times bestselling authors Meg Cabot, Deborah Crombie, Dorothea Benton Frank, Faye Kellerman and Elizabeth Lowell. Some new additions to her list include SECRET DAUGHTER by Shilpi Somaya Gowda and two titles we buzzed about at ALA Annual: THE SECRET LIVES OF BABA SEGI'S WIVES by Lola Shoenyin (due out in paperback in July 2011 and retitled THE SECRET LIVES OF THE FOUR WIVES) and THE QUEEN OF PALMYRA by Minrose Gwin.
Ms. Feron has been at Morrow for fifteen years, where she also functions as the Editorial Director of Avon. She established Avon's trade paperback program and edits authors Jacqueline Sheehan, Sara Gruen, Kerry Reichs, Sarah MacLean and Eloisa James. Her nonfiction titles include MICHELLE STYLE by Mandi Norwood and SHELF DISCOVERY: THE TEEN CLASSICS WE NEVER STOPPED READING by Lizzie Skurnick.
